ESFJ / Scorpio
Who is a Consul (ESFJ)?
Consuls are individuals with the Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling and Judging personality traits. They tend to be friendly, supportive and empathetic people with great social skills. As genuine people persons, consuls are often described as natural caretakers who love to help others.
OH, I’m sexy and I know it! Emotional, imaginative and intense, Consul/Scorpio is like the big, bad elder sister of the other Water sign Consul personalities crew. You don’t mess with the turbulent Consul/Scorpio my friend, their sting can be fatal and they make others look like wusses! They’re good at connecting with others. These qualities come together to make Consul/Scorpio social, comfortable and well-liked. They have a strong need to “belong”, and have no problem with small talk or following social cues in order to help them take an active role in their communities. People with the Consul/Scorpio personality type have a strong sense of responsibility and strive to meet their obligations, though this may sometimes be more from a sense of social expectations than intrinsic drive. Passionate, independent, and unafraid to blaze their own trail no matter what others think, these people make a statement wherever they go. They love debates, aren't afraid of controversy, and won't back down from a debate. They also hate people who aren't genuine, and are all about being authentic—even if authentic isn't pretty.
Because of all of these traits, a Consul/Scorpio can seem intimidating and somewhat closed off to those who don't know them well. But what people don't realize is that even though they may seem brusque, they also are very in tune with their emotions, and sometimes may find themselves caught up in their feelings. With Extraverted Feeling dominating their personality, they are focused on reading other people. They have a strong need to be liked, and to be in control. They are extremely good at reading others, and often change their own manner to be more pleasing to whoever they're with at the moment. Their value system is defined externally. They usually have very well-formed ideas about the way things should be, and are not shy about expressing these opinions. However, they weigh their values and morals against the world around them, rather than against an internal value system. They may have a strong moral code, but it is defined by the community that they live in, rather than by any strongly felt internal values.
In love, Consul/Scorpio can seem cautious at first, and may set up a series of "tests" for their potential partner, deciding to cross them off their list if they don't meet their demands. The trouble is, they tend to keep their partner out of the loop on what, exactly, they want, making their partner feel like they have to play mind reader. If a Consul/Scorpio and their partner can get past this initial hurdle, the connection will be intense, in both highs and lows. They will love harder and fight harder than any other sign, and wants their partner to be absolutely honest. They will be—even if it's not what the partner wants to hear. In the bedroom, Consul/Scorpio is generous, imaginative, and always up for anything—all night long.
Consul/Scorpio who have had the benefit of being raised and surrounded by a strong value system that is ethical and centered around genuine goodness will most likely be the kindest, most generous souls who will gladly give you the shirt off of their back without a second thought. For these individuals, the selfless quality of their personality type is genuine and pure. Consul/Scorpios who have not had the advantage of developing their own values by weighing them against a good external value system may develop very questionable values. In such cases, they most often genuinely believes in the integrity of their skewed value system. They have no internal understanding of values to set them straight. In weighing their values against our society, they find plenty of support for whatever moral transgression they wish to justify. This type is a dangerous person indeed. However the more intuitive side of Scorpio might still help tip the scale in the right direction.
