Who is a Mediator (INFP)?
Meditators are individuals with the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Perceiving personality traits. They tend to be creative, empathetic and individualistic people with a desire to create their own unique path in life. Highly thoughtful and considerate, meditators are known to be good listeners with an ability to make people in their surroundings feel at ease.
Mediator/Virgo are oftentimes humble, practical hard-workers who love to better themselves. They think deeply and can their perceptiveness means that they can always find or create order within the chaos. People who fall under this personality combo are oftentimes honest friends. Being quite discerning, they will be quick to point out your truest strengths and your weaknesses - their constructive criticism is often made out of the best and purest intentions, to help those that they care about. They also tend to give great advice because of those same talents for analysis. Their quest of self-improvement extends to their bodies, their clothing, and their appearance. This combined with their discerning eye, means that they can be incredibly concerned about what kind of impression they give to others. They are usually happiest when they are helping others and have a generous nature, which can sometimes make them targets of those who wish to take advantage of them.
They have very high standards and are perfectionists. Consequently, they are usually hard on themselves, and don't give themselves enough credit. They may have problems working on a project in a group, because their standards are likely to be higher than other members' of the group. In group situations, they may have a "control" problem. They need to work on balancing their high ideals with the requirements of every day living. Without resolving this conflict, they will never be happy with themselves, and they may become confused and paralyzed about what to do with their lives. Mediator/Virgos can take their idealism too far. People with this personality combo might idolize their romantic partner or expect every aspect of their job to feel meaningful. This can set them up for disappointment when reality falls short of their dreams. They can expect so much from themselves that they inevitably fall short. When this happens, they may accuse themselves of being selfish or woefully inadequate. This self-criticism can erode their motivation to get things done and their willingness to prioritize necessary self-care.
It takes Mediator/Virgos a while to fall in love. They generally don’t like to submit themselves to large sways of passion. They like to have control over their reality, and the emotional intensity mirrors the feeling of chaos. The real problem is that they’re looking for an experience outside of reality. Something that is not attainable in the material world. They believe that the love they’re after exists on some higher plane. And they’re not wrong. It’s just that how they go about it is a little flawed. They are idealistic and romantic partners. They are also supportive and encouraging. Being fiercely loyal to their partners, they desire a long-term, passionate love relationship, and take their commitments seriously. They tend to project perfection in their lives. They want to find the ideal job and live out their ideal life. But nowhere is this stronger than finding the ideal soulmate. The result of this is not always positive, as they tend to project this idealism on their partners. At first, they are blind to their partner’s faults, seeing only what they want to see, and even falsely assuming that their partners have certain traits.
They’re not particularly driven by money or status, preferring work that aligns with their personal values and allows them to help others. They’re are typically motivated by vision and inspiration, and want to engage with projects and causes that feel important to them. They enjoy the process of creative problem-solving, and want to understand complex issues. They appreciate innovation, and want to come up with original ideas to improve circumstances for people. An ideal job for a Mediator/Virgo allows them to express their individuality in the way they work, and takes advantage of their ability to see unique solutions.
