INFJ / Gemini
Who is an Advocate (INFJ)?
Advocates are individuals with the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling and Judging personality traits. They tend to be gentle, complex and intuitive people who enjoy expressing themselves both artistically and creatively. Highly observant of their surroundings, advocates are extremely skillful at reading and understanding other people.
Advocate/Gemini are very intelligent and pick up knowledge quickly. They are perceptive, analytical, and often very funny. They have an unreserved and childlike curiosity, always asking new questions and an uncanny ability to size up a person’s character in a matter of seconds, even if they only just met them. If someone’s bluffing, they’ll be the first to notice. They are great communicators, very responsive and sensitive listeners. They are versatile, comfortable being both introverts and extroverts. They are quick to adapt to the energy of a room. They can be the life of the party or a complete wallflower. They know how to bring dissimilar people together and make them get along. They have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them. Consequently, most of them are protective of their inner selves, sharing only what they choose to share when they choose to share it. They are deep, complex individuals, who are quite private and typically difficult to understand. They typically hold back part of themselves, and can be secretive.
They believe in the best in people, and this makes them trusting and encouraging toward their followers. As leaders they want to help the individuals in their team develop and, therefore, give them opportunities to grow in the workplace. These attributes make them very likeable and approachable, and they usually create a cordial and friendly environment in the workplace. However, they may find it very hard to give negative feedback or to reprimand when necessary. They may tend to avoid conflict, preferring to use a subtler way of informing their followers of mediocre performance. Such a method may not have the desired effect if the other party does not catch the hint. They love creative projects and work very well with a team. In teams they tend to be the glue that holds other people around them together, and they can really strengthen a group. They can be the ones to push the envelope and get others to step out of their comfort zones. They can sometimes come across as downright weird with their more creative and controversial ideas. People with this personality combo tend to change their minds a lot and this means that they often jump from job to job, looking for stimulation and challenges.
In love they never want to be too emotionally dependent on someone. Even in a relationship, Advocate/Geminis will still try to cultivate their own interests and live their own life. It's important for them to find a partner who has a similar approach to relationships, which isn't always easy to find. They’re are also intellectual and need to be stimulated constantly. Once something or someone stops fascinating them, they move on to the next new and exciting thing. They have a tendency to overthink. Even if they start having feelings for someone, there's a chance they'll try to rationalize those feelings instead of exploring them further. Because of this, Advocate/Geminis don't fall in love quickly. It can take time for these people to find a compatible partner. Some people might think Advocate/Gemini are too choosy, and it’s true that these personalities can have unrealistic expectations. Some might hold out for a “perfect” partner or relationship that ultimately doesn’t exist.
