Defender (ISFJ) - CAPRICORN

Who is a Defender (ISFJ)?

Defenders are individuals with the Introverted, Sensing, Feeling and Judging personality traits. They tend to be humble, hard-working, and enthusiastic people who prefer to focus on the details, rather than the bigger picture. Emotionally orientated, defenders are sensitive to other people's feelings and have a deep understanding of their own.

Defender/Capricorn are quite ambitious and they also value integrity and tend to conduct themselves with professionalism and consistency. They are quite competitive and love to win, but they also want it to be earned and respected. Likewise, they appreciate excellence wherever they find it and can be among the most supportive people Cooperation and collaboration are a huge ingredient to success, and they usually build meaningful relationships by seeing potential allies in a wide variety of people. They also learn best by doing, rather than by reading about something in a book, or applying theory. For this reason, they are not likely to be found in fields which require a lot of conceptual analysis or theory. They value practical application. Traditional methods of higher education, which require a lot of theorizing and abstraction, are likely to be a chore for them.

They are diligent, hard-working, calm people; this tends to go along with their drive to succeed and their innate ability to analyze things with a cool head. They tend to be very good at seeing through any illusions, emotional, political or otherwise, and will get right down to the bottom line quite quickly. Most of them will avoid things such as jealousy, anger, inefficiency and laziness as they find these things useless towards their goals. Most Defender/Capricorns are great to have on your side in an argument. They are both patient and handle pressure well; what other people would lose their cool over, Defender/Capricorn takes with a calm analytical attitude. They are quite shy, guarded and reserved, and they don't let people get too close until they are sure they can be trusted. This makes them great advice givers to more emotional people. In group dynamics and decisions, Defender/Capricorns are great to have around for decisions as their analytical objectivity and focus on facts tend to be useful.

These people aren't likely to fall hard and fast, usually preferring to fall into 'friendship' first. Once friendship is established and they are more comfortable, then if/when physical attraction exists, things progress from there. Once they are interested and at ease, they are steadfast in their need to have a relationship. Defender/Capricorns can be stubborn and this serves them well as they generally succeed in attaining what they want. Slow and steady is their way in the romance department. If the connection is a true one, your Defender/Capricorn will loyally help you to make a life together. Devoted parents, they are known to think ahead and appreciate the stability that having long term plans offers. They are tolerant and uncritical, and adapt easily to their surroundings. They like to go with the flow and enjoy life from moment to moment. An ideal mate for them takes the time to show spontaneous gestures of affection, and appreciates their kind and helpful nature.

They want to feel personally engaged with their work, and seek careers which allow them to express themselves or participate in a cause they believe in. They typically enjoy hands-on activities, and often gain satisfaction when they can create a tangible result from their efforts. An ideal job for them allows them to clearly observe the fruits of their labor, in a context that feels significant and consistent with their values. They tend to like a courteous, cooperative work environment where they can work quietly, with support when they need it. Because they are so tuned to their physical surroundings, it's often important to them that their work environment is aesthetically pleasing.
