Architect (INTJ) - VIRGO

Who is an Architect (INTJ)?

Architects are individuals with the Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging personality traits. They tend to be intelligent and competent people with high expectations on both themselves and people around them. Being independent thinkers, architects are often viewed as effective problem solvers.

Architect/Virgo are always paying attention to the smallest details and their deep sense of humanity makes them one of the most careful personality types. Their methodical approach to life ensures that nothing is left to chance. Anyone with this personality type would tell you, a new idea isn’t worth anything unless it actually works. They want to be successful, not just inventive. They bring a single-minded drive to their passion projects, applying the full force of their insight, logic, and willpower. They quite often feel misunderstood, not because they lack the ability to express themselves, but because they sometimes won’t accept their own feelings as valid, true or even relevant when opposed to reason. Bound to earth they are quite conservative and like a well-organized everyday life and even when they let go, their goals and dreams still have strictly defined borders in their mind.

Architect/Virgos can be single-minded, with little patience for frivolity, distractions, or idle gossip. But it would be a mistake to stereotype these personalities as dull or humorless. Beneath their serious exteriors, they often have a sharp, delightfully sarcastic sense of humor. However they don’t care if you find them funny. To them, their own sense of humor gets them through the day.

They are exceptionally hard workers and often perfectionists and will happily take on extra to get the result they seek. There’s a fine line here, though, between working hard in the team and becoming a monstrous control freak who tries to do everyone else’s job for them. By working alone or in small groups, they can make the most of their creativity without constant interruptions from curious coworkers or second-guessing supervisors. And they really do believe that if you want something done right, you’d better do it yourself. Few personality types, if any, can match their ability to transform complex principles into clear and actionable strategies. Architect/Virgos know how much they have to offer in their professional lives – and for them, any job that fails to draw on their skills and knowledge is a wasted opportunity. These people will rarely have many sexual experiences with different people, for they need to feel important to someone in order to give their whole self. They prefer a stable relationship and trust has to be built patiently and steadily. They may find the dating world difficult, if not impossible, but as they mature and gain experience, many eventually come to understand the purpose of romantic rituals. Until that point, however, they may decide that dating is too irrational or beneath them. Some people with this personality type might constantly try to demonstrate their intellectual superiority, as a way of proving that they’re above the “silliness” of dating. Obviously, this mindset is unlikely to help Architects find or connect with a partner.

First impressions are important for this person. Naturally elegant, despite their modesty, they do spend a lot of time messing around in front of the mirror. Taking care of the way they look is in their very nature. Whether going on a date, to work or on vacation, you can expect these people to have a clearly thought-out outfit and a very well organized suitcase with exactly the right amount of packed items along for the trip. Black socks for black pants and black shoes... sound familiar?
