Adventurer (ISFP) - TAURUS

Who is an Adventurer (ISFP)?

Adventurers are individuals with the Introverted, Sensing, Feeling and Perceiving personality traits. They tend to be spontaneous, friendly and sensitive people with a great sense of integrity. Creative and with a strong aesthetic appreciation, adventurers are also known for their artistic qualities.

The phrase “stop and smell the roses” perfectly embodies our Adventurer/Taurus friends. In our constellation of urgent emails, texts and push notifications, they reminds us to take it slow and enjoy the earthly delights around us. This calming presence makes them a pleasure to be around. Steadfast friends, partners and family members, they stand beside their loved ones through thick and thin. They have a strong affinity for aesthetics and beauty. They're likely to be animal lovers, and to have a true appreciation for the beauties of nature. They're original and independent, and need to have personal space. They value people who take the time to understand them, and who support them in pursuing their goals in their own, unique way. People who don't know them well may see their unique way of life as a sign of carefree light-heartedness, but they actually takes life very seriously, constantly gathering specific information and shifting it through their value systems, in search for clarification and underlying meaning.

They do not like quick change and will fight very hard against it. When changes are needed, it can be difficult to convince them that it is necessary, and even when you do, they will naturally want to take their time and progress gradually, which can irritate their teammates, family and friends. They are somewhat of people pleasers though and aren’t usually hard to sway if you just do it gently. Because of their own high standards, they also tend to push themselves rather hard, meaning that when they complete something that doesn’t quite live up to their own expectations, they can be rather hard on themselves. Sometimes their connection to the material world can make them a bit possessive - with both people and things. This personality combo sometimes also lack maturity and have low self-esteem.

People often underestimate Adventurer/Taurus because they appear quiet and stoic. They are, in fact, people of intense sensitivity and possess great depth of emotion. Because they’re afraid of being hurt, they usually only show this emotional side to people whom they feel they can trust. They prefer to defer their opinions to their partner. They rather let their partners make the final decisions on dates, how to spend money, and household related stuff. It’s not that they don’t have an opinion – they rather avoid any potential conflict that might result because of disagreements. To them, to be able to avoid the conflict is far more important than them sharing their thoughts. Partners of Adventurer/ Taurus therefore need to be careful about appearing critical or judgmental to them. Prone to sentimentality and a love of tradition, they will love to know your background and will listen intently to stories of your childhood experiences. Likewise, if you show intent interest in their personal story it will make you stand out to them. They love anything that reminds them of good memories of the past and are known to collect things from a favorite era of their lives.
