Who is a Virtuoso (ISTP)?
Virtuosos are individuals with the Introverted, Sensing, Thinking and Perceiving personality traits. They tend to be tolerant, flexible and analytical people with an eye for detail. Known for their independence, virtuosos are often seen as observers who make decisions based on objective information, rather than personal beliefs.
Virtuoso/Libras are observant artisans with an understanding of mechanics and an interest in troubleshooting. They approach their environments with a flexible logic, looking for practical solutions to the problems at hand. They are independent and adaptable, and typically interact with the world around them in a self-directed, spontaneous manner. Intelligent, kind, and always willing to put others before themselves, they value harmony in all forms. As the master of compromise and diplomacy, Virtuoso/Libra is adept at seeing all points of view, and excels at crafting compromises and effecting mediation between others. They have a rich inner life yet loves other people, and they're always happiest with a large group of friends, family, and coworkers on whom they can count.
They are attentive to details and responsive to the demands of the world around them. Because of their astute sense of their environment, they are good at moving quickly and responding to emergencies. They are reserved, but not withdrawn: they enjoy taking action, and approaches the world with a keen appreciation for the physical and sensory experiences it has to offer. Virtuoso/Libra has a very strong sense of right and wrong. They are deeply concerned about what is fair in the world. They do not like to see anyone treated brashly or unfairly. This coupled with their objective nature means that they can become great mediators. However, their love of keeping the peace and avoiding conflict means that it’s rather easy for them to be self-sacrificing - what matters to them is the greater good of those around them, and sometimes that means that they must give something up for family or friends.
They are not often viewed as romantic people, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of falling in love. They are more focused on practical things and so for them emotions can be a bit tricky. They don’t want to allow themselves to become controlled by emotions, instead they want to focus on logic and reason. This is part of what makes them less romantic, but that doesn’t mean they don’t experience deep emotions, especially when they fall in love with someone. These people might put on the appearance that they aren’t ones for romance and fluffy feelings, but when they are alone with someone special they can certainly be capable of more than what they seem to be on the outside. They need space even when they are in love, this is just part of who they are. Being that the Virtuoso/Libra is more introverted, they need time alone to recharge and recuperate from social interaction. This isn’t because they don’t care or want to be around their significant other. Without this time alone they become emotionally and mentally exhausted, and so it is vital for them to have this time to themselves.
