INTJ / Scorpio
Who is an Architect (INTJ)?
Architects are individuals with the Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging personality traits. They tend to be intelligent and competent people with high expectations on both themselves and people around them. Being independent thinkers, architects are often viewed as effective problem solvers.
Architect/Scorpio are confident in their ability to teach themselves about – and master – any topic that interests them. Extremely goal oriented they usually get what they want when they’ve set their mind to it. They are easily misunderstood because of their passion and power. Often mistaken for a fire personality, when in fact Scorpio is a water sign that derives their strength from the psychic, emotional realm. Life is a game of chess for these calculating personalities, always plotting several steps ahead in order to orchestrate an eventual checkmate. This doesn’t mean they are out to hurt anyone, it simply means that they know what they want and aren’t afraid to work hard to get it.
Architect/Scorpio value truth and depth and many common social practices – from small talk to white lies – may seem pointless to them. As a result, they may inadvertently come across as rude or even offensive when they’re only trying to be honest. Therefore they prefer to surround themselves with people who share their values and priorities. They are very intense people, who also have a tendency to get quite serious. Underneath though, you’ll most likely find their own sense of rather sarcastic sense of humor. They are also very loyal friends who won’t hesitate to run into danger to help you, without second thought.
These are very sexual beings, but it’s not solely about the pleasure of it all that allures the Architect/Scorpio. They crave the physical closeness, spiritual illumination and emotional intimacy sex can provide. And they don’t choose a partner lightly. As emotional as the Scorpio part of them can be, on the other side they have the very controlled and planned out Architect, that won’t mind making pros and cons lists before commuting to a specific partner. Without the commitment they have no problem separating sex from emotion and might not take it very seriously at all. Their trust isn’t easily earned, but once they dedicate themselves to a person it’s their whole self and they don’t easily let go. Love is rarely easy, but it’s a challenge that can help Architect/Scorpio grow. Through their relationships, they can learn to focus on the present, remain involved with other people, and stay open to things they’re not used to.
They have a hard time not comparing other people’s achievements with their own and when someone else gets something that the Architect/Scorpio desires they can be very jealous. On top of that no one holds a grudge as they do. They take betrayals personally and set backs seriously. These personalities won’t settle for just any career. They want to tackle meaningful challenges and find elegant solutions to important problems, not just tinker with figures in a spreadsheet. They also want the freedom to exercise their greatest strengths. Few personality types, if any, can match their ability to transform complex principles into clear and actionable strategies.
